- Spacecraft Message Center, Greenbelt, Maryland... Goddard Space Flight Center control-room is reflected in the mirror used during tests of IBM System 360 Model 75, one of four computers that control Appolo spacecraft tracking and communications. (Mirror permits customer engineer to warch indicator lights on CPU while working behind the system). Goddard's flight network acquires voice and telementry information as well as radar data through 17 tracking stations and four ships. Transmission of information and operation of tracking stations is managed from this room by Goddard network controllers.
