Neo-classical male stone head

This head of a male statue is a neo-classical imitation of a Roman statue, complete with a laurel leaf headdress. It is thought it was commissioned for Alexander Pope's grotto in Twickenham, and donated to the museum in the late 19th century. - Georgian (1714-1837) -
