emergency rations tin, complete

This unopened ration tin dates from the Boer War and belonged to rifleman PE Rattenbury who lived in Exeter. The tin has two compartments containing emergency food rations. One compartment contains beef extract for dinner, the other contains cocoa. - Victorian (1837-1901) -
