Nile silt (with sparse calcium carbonate temper) pottery rim from large vessel with horizontal, applied rope band decoration (cf. Protodynastic Corpus, pls. XXII-XXIII, types 76j-76m; everted, rolled rim, constricted neck (wheek finished). Part of wet incised potmark at break below rope band, unidentified, possibly part of plant sign?
