Roughly oval, reddish-purple-brown, fired clay mould; flattened ends; white inclusions; blackened on reverse surface. Design impressed into flattened upper surface, in roughly central position. Recessed design is in the form of a wedjat-eye. Loss of detail in right side of recess. A shallow groove might extend from the right edge of the recess to the edge of the mould; in which case, it is probably the impression left by a cord (probably 2-spun S-plied flax cord) used to remove the 'master'. For the manufacture of faience amulet(s)/ring bezel(s). Finger/thumb prints on surface.
