Butter pat

The pats are rectangular in shape, tapering to rounded handles. One side of each is grooved, the other smooth. Large amounts of butter would be shaped into individual bricks with butter pats, making the butter ready for sale. The butter maker would hold a pat in each hand and work the butter into shape.
