Central Baths, Wolverhampton

The interior, showing a slide feature by the side of the pool (right), and wooden framing being erected in the pool recess. The framing may be there to support temporary wooden flooring to convert the pool for another use. Swimming pools were often covered over in this way to make them into dancefloors. This photograph was taken at the time of the extensions to the building in 1909.
