Thomas Bateman Museum, Lomberdale Hall, Middleton-by-Youlgreave, Bakewell, c 1850s?

Thomas Bateman, the pioneer archeologist, built Lomberdale Hall in 1844. It stands back alongside the road to Youlgreave and he enlarged it in 1856 to house his growing collection of archeological artefacts.
