Sneinton Market, Sneinton

A crowd of people shopping at Sneinton market, showing the Bath Inn on the corner of Handel Street in the background. Sneinton Market was established around 1850 and sold a great variety of goods. In this photograph there are stalls with bric-a-brac, secondhand clothes, household goods and linen. There is still a very lively traditional market held here every Monday and Saturday morning.
