Construction of Ore Preparation Plant - ore beds

In order to improve efficiency of its blast furnaces, between 1957 and 1959 the Stanton Ironworks Company constructed a new Ore Preparation Plant at the western end of the Stanton Works. This view shows the bases for the ore beds. To the rear is the Coke Oven Plant and the dirt tips. The blast furnaces at the Old Works are just visible in the distance on the far right.
