Nun's Foundry, Nun's Street

Ancient property known as Nun's Foundry, surviving from King's Mead, a 16th century building on a 15th century plinth, with stone base then brick upper sections , stone mullioned windows and reinforcing bars. The original doorways had been bricked up whilst used by Bennett and Sayer's Ltd. engineering, ironfounders and brick making works yard. Viewed from the Ashbourne Road
