Royal Visit, Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Street

28th October 1954. Crowds line the route on Queen Street waiting for the arrival of Her Majesty, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. A military band the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry is marching along Queen Street. In the background people can be seen at upstairs windows and signs have been put on the businesses to welcome the Queen. On the Midland Bank the sign says 'God Bless You'. Photo by Mr Ron Turner
