Spaldrick, Isle of Man Douglas Miller Reid's collection of British Amphipoda was amassed in the late 1930s and 40s and accessioned in 1942. The specimens and accompanying object files were previously stored along with examples from the Alexander Patience collection of local Malacostraca, which arrived in installments during 1909-1910. Under means of identification on the original object file for this specimen it states "J.M.B.A. 24, 1940". On the original object file it also notes that this species is fairly common.
