*Euptoieta hegesia* (Cramer) Mexican Fritillary

This specimen is from William Hunter's collection which was utilised by Fabricius and Olivier in describing many new species. The collection contains types from other contemporary entomologists such as Drury.
These butterflies were seen and commented on by Harish Gaonkar in November 2003, as part of his research on Oriental/Australasian butterflies.

This is *Euptoieta hegesia* (Cramer), the Mexican Fritillary, not as labelled *Papilio phalantha* Drury which refers to the specimen below this one.
