Details of choir stalls, Whitchurch c.1895

"53" [not by Mackintosh] CRE MACKINTOSH, Charles Rennie; (Scottish; 1868-1928) This sketch is from Mackintosh's second sketching trip to England, in the summer of 1895, when he visited Hampshire, Dorset and Somerset. St. Wite in Whitchurch is principally 12th century with some late Norman details from the 11th century. The choir stalls are later, possibly French, early 16th century.
