New South Wales (Nova Cambria) Australia As label indicates it was from 'Nova Cambria' (i.e. New (South) Wales) this butterfly was almost undoubtedly collected by Joseph Banks on Captain Cook's first voyage on the east coast of Australia. However, it remained un-named until Fabricus later called it *tulliolus* on the basis of a specimen in William Jones' collection. Jones' insects no longer exist …
