Wanlockhead, [Dumfries and Galloway], [Scotland] unknown Superb specimen - one of a large suite in Thomas Brown of Lanfine's collection, described by Alex Rose, in his valuation of the collection in 1851 as "20 specimens of Vanadiate of Lead; an unique series £40". This is the single highest value given to any group of specimens in the collection.
