conglomerate; matrix-supported, with flint clasts ("Hertfordshire Puddingstone"); rectangular slab, polished on one side

Hertfordshire, [England] [Palaeocene] One of several unrelated specimens formerly included under number M1215. This one is almost certainly from William Hunter's original bequest. An old number 363 stuck to the rear might suggest that it is part of the 600 jaspers, agates etc bought from Peter Woulfe on April 20 1778.
