Jones, brother-in-law of Mackintosh's important late patron, W.J. Bassett-Lowke. In 1919 Jones ordered a set of the dining furniture Mackintosh had designed for Bassett-Lowke at Candida Cottage, and commissioned a decorative scheme for the room.
