*Papilio pollux* Cramer, 1775 Un

This specimen is from William Hunter's collection. The specimens were utilised by Fabricius describing new species. The collection contains types from other contemporary entomologists such as Olivier and Drury.
This is a species found in most of the African forest and pre-forest zone. It is common in Sierra Leone - from where the specimens probably came - but very rare in Ghana and Nigeria. [Torben B. Larsen det.]
