Once labelled E.303 CULT Unknown Canada North America The bag is brownish yellow, with a pendulous form, panelled sides stitched in and a triangular flap. It has a wide plaited strap and the flap closes with a plaited thong of woven bark fibre. The accession book is unclear as to its origins; there are faint ditto marks under "Canada/N. America" further up the page and the donor is unknown. The design is very similar to an Alaskan example in Phelps' Art and Artefacts of the Pacific, Africa and the Americas.
