*Cassida tuberculata* Fabricius, 1775 Un probable syntype

This specimen is from William Hunter's collection. The collection contains types from other contemporary entomologists such as Fabricius, Olivier and Drury.

Fabricus described this species from specimens from Sierra Leone, almost certainly sent back from there by Henry Smeathman. Hunter obtained many examples of these, through the mediation of Fabricius himself, and so the specimens from that source would be all members of the syntypic series.
