Franz Gebauer's family came from the Olomouc area. Franz served in the Imperial and Royal Army during the war and was deployed in Czernowitz, among other places, from where he wrote his wife a field postcard in July 1917. He sent an earlier card showing him standing in uniform to his brother Josef in Trzebinia. Later the family probably lived in Prague, where a family photo with a child was taken.…
