Neolithic, Ground and Polished Axe, HCA 113
This axehead (L 13.2 x W 4.9cm) has a total thickness of 2cm and weighs 150g. It has a narrow pointed oval cross section and curved, symmetrical edges. It’s blade is symmetrical and it has an irregular butt shape. Only the blade is ground and polished. The sides are pointed and almost straight in plan and the blade edge is chipped.
