Monastic Handbell
A bronze bell from the ninth century with the handle being part of the body of the bell. The bell is four-sided, splayed at the mouth and tapering towards the crown. The clapper is missing. The bell was found in Co. Westmeath.
Material: Bronze. Accession no: HCA 620. Current location: The Hunt Museum, Limerick.
