Eliza Orzeszkowa

Eliza Orzeszkowa (1841-1910) was a Polish novelist and politically active throughout her lifetime. She was involved with the January Uprising of 1863 in Poland. Orzeszkowa was nominated for the Nobel Prize of Literature in 1905.
