Memories of New York
When I was a young man, I was studying at the University of Limerick. I had to do two placements and, having already done one in Ireland, I decided I should do the second in New York.
I asked my father if we had any connections there. He said he remembered going to a neighbour's 'American wake' (that was the name given to a kind of ceremony or party to make when someone moved to the United States…
