Η Λιουμπόβ Ποπόβα πέθανε από οστρακιά στη Μόσχα στις 25 Μαΐου του 1924 και η μεγάλη αναδρομική έκθεση των έργων της άνοιξε στις 21 Δεκεμβρίου της ίδιας χρονιάς. Το 1925 η έκθεση ταξίδεψε στο Κίεβο και το 1926 στο Κρασνοντάρ.
