Thai Buddhist Manuscript inscribed on plam-leaves with a me

Thai Buddhist Manuscript inscribed on palm-leaves with a metal stylus. The cover boards are finely painted in gold on black lacquer with scrolling foliage. The fore-edge of the palm leaves is gilded with a centre band of vermillion bordered by a delicately patternered motif. Transcribed during the first half of the 19th century.
