Description: Wide, flaring mouth with overhanging, bevelled rim; groove at junction between mouth and body; deep body with almost straight upper wall and rounded, tapering lower wall; rectangular handles at upper body; grooved ring base. Yellowish red clay; black glaze; red wash (on underside). Two reserved bands on inside of mouth; laurel branch between bands encircling the outside; A: bearded Dionysos, wearing an ivy wreath, reclines on a bed with striped pillows; he holds a thyrsos in his left hand and a kantharos in his left; a maenad to the left, holding a thyrsos and wearing a loose chiton, is about to pour him some wine from an oinochoe; to the left a bearded satyr playing the double pipe; in the upper field a suspended wine-skin; below a pine-cone; B: three conversing youths in himatia, one of them holding a staff; below figures on both sides a border of meanders and dotted saltier squares; underside resrved.
