Bruns, Heinrich
Bruns studierte von 1866 bis 1871 in Berlin Mathematik, Physik und Astronomie insbesondere bei Weierstrass. Er beschäftigte sich mit der theoretischen Seite der "Figur der Erde" und leistete Beitrag zur Potentialtheorie. Bedeutende Arbeiten lieferte Bruns insbesondere in der Geodäsie, nach ihm wurde der Bruns'sche Polyeder benannt.
