Housing investments can offer higher returns than public debt and more security than the stock exchange. Perhaps that is why some experts point out that the real estate sector is where “under the table” money can be easily funneled. The second-home housing market – generally located in tourist spots – is one of the areas within the real estate business that shows most promise for growth with the transition to the euro. The number of potential buyers will grow, but so will the competition.
