George Joughin was my grand-uncle and the brother of Tom Joughin. He graduated as a Doctor from Trinity College Dublin possibly at some point in 1915 having previously gone to Mountjoy Secondary School. He is referenced in the 1919 Mountjoy School Magazine. He was 2 and a half years overseas, serving for 6 months in the No. 4 General Hospital in Frnace before spending 2 years in the field. He was a Lieutenant and then a Captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps. He survived the war and became a GP in Birmingham, where he probably went straight after the war, until he died in 1950. He married in 1931. His brother Tom is also represented here.
