St Peter's Church - Church Lane , Hartshead WF15 8EU
St Peter's Church, Hartshead was one of four churches served as Vicar by the Rev. Patrick Brontë here between 1810 and 1815 and his name can be seen on the list of incumbents under the tower. Legend has it that Robin Hood was buried in the parish, in the grounds of Kirklees Priory, where his grave still stands today.
