Picture of my grandfather; Frank William Osborne taken in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada; just before he sailed to England/France during WW1 about the SS Olympic; (which was the sister ship to the SS Titanic which struck an iceberg and sunk with much loss of life). He served 23 months with the 1st Canadian Vet Hospital. He was a blacksmith and horse shoe finisher. He serviced the cavalry mounts; as well as ambulance, gun, and supply horses and mules.
