    • Harry Mummery was the contributor's grandfather on his mother's side. He served as a private in the Buffs (East Kent Regiment)10th Battalion, Kent, number 270340. He was shot in the right and left arm on the Western Front (France) on 23rd September 1918. He also served in Egypt and was a mounted soldier (riding a camel). Items include his infirmary record and a telegram from the War Office informing that he had been wounded.
