Royal Air Force 1543805 R.O. Stone East Bengal and Burma 1943-1946: Black and White Negatives of various photographs taken over that period Spitfire Fighter Plane, Mingaladon Airfield, Rangoon, Burma Drums of cement were used to anchor certain planes during the typhoon season, Reg Stone.
The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-seat fighter aircraft, which was used by the Royal Air Force and many other allied countries throughout the Second World War. It was produced in greater numbers than any other British aircraft, and was the only British fighter in production throughout the war. Rangoon (Yangon) was the former capital of Burma.
