On September 2,1918, 4th Platoon Company A of the 72nd Batt.Seaforth Highlanders of Canada captured a German Drum. They were on the north side of the Arras-Cambrai Road near Mont Dury just east of the Dury- Hendecourt cross roads. They captured a number of items has they entered the Hindenburg Line. What I am looking for is the German Army unit that the drum came from. According to WW1 records I found, three units were in the area: The 1st & 2nd Guards Reserve Divisions and the 3rd Reserve Division. Can anyone tell me which German Division, Regiment, Company was on Mont Dury (Drocourt-Queant Trenches) on September 2, 1918?
